Since 1991, annual St. Hubert Days are celebrated in the manor house estate. This national hunting festival with rich professional, cultural and entertaining program is very much enjoyed and intensively visited.
Legend of St. Hubert – patron of hunters – tells a story of an Aquitaine prince who took pleasure in alcohol, feasts and hunts, during which he was harsh to both people and animals. At one of the hunts, he had a vision of a deer with a shining cross between his antlers. Crucified Jesus asked him to finally stop the useless killing.
Hubert was so much affected by this vision that he turned to be a patron of animals and became a priest.
